What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese stress-reducing modality that works on both the physical body and the auric field. It is effective in engaging the parasympathetic nervous system to alleviate stress and its accompanying effects, whether chronic or temporary. This includes everything from burnout and compassion fatigue to depression and anxiety. Given that stress is a leading cause of various illnesses—mental, spiritual, emotional, or physical—Reiki works to repair, relieve, and heal the causes and stored states of stress within our bodies.

What is the difference between Usui Reiki and Holy Fire reiki?

Usui Reiki is the oldest lineage of reiki. Holy Fire is a newer form of reiki that was developed in 2014. It is very gentle and is much more efficient in the way that it clears the auric field. Holy Fire delivers a higher vibration. As a Usui Level 1&2 practitioner and a Usui Holy Fire III Master Teacher, I can tell a dramatic difference between the two energies. By channeling energy directly to the client, the benefits of Holy Fire are amplified and continue to work even when I am not actively calling on the energy. Holy fire will flow but it will not impede on anyone’s free will, if their auric field is open to the energy, the energy will flow.
Isn't Reiki and Animal Reiki the same thing?

No, Animal Reiki and Usui or Usui/Holy Fire reiki are very different. When we look at a rainbow we are able to see there is a spectrum of colours. The same can be said for reiki energy. Each one has different symbols that are used and within those symbols a specific healing frequency is held.

You can use reiki on Animals it doesn't have to be animal reiki...

That is correct, however they won't get the same benefits. While it is true you can use traditional usui or usui holy fire reiki on animals, it is not nearly as effective. In my own personal experience and in my experience working with animal clients and wildlife, animal reiki is designed specifically for animals, and humans in their human form. The field absorbs the energy much easier and it is catered to working with the natural rhythm and flow of Earth. It is gentle, restorative, and incredibly grounding which is connecting the animal more deeply with Earth and her frequency.

Is Reiki incompatible with anything?​

No, reiki is compatible with everything.
Will Reiki conflict with any of my treatments?
​
No, reiki will not conflict with any other sort of treatment, in fact it will complement the treatment making it more effective.

Why didn't I feel reiki during a treatment?
​​
This is a very good question. Sometimes people don't feel reiki during a session, and that is OK. Whether you feel it or not, reiki is still working on you. There are many layers that reiki works with, a lot of them are programmed deep in our subconscious. Often when a client is not feeling the effects of reiki it is because the energy is working at such a deep, subconscious level we are unable to feel what is happening. After the energy has integrated into the body and the field, we are then able to see and feel the effects.
Reiki Classes
Reiki Classes are delivered in a relaxed style in person and online. We do a deep dive into the history of reiki and how the energy came to be discovered. We go through placements, ignitions, and attunements. We also practice working with the energy. We will explore various techniques from both Usui and Holy Fire reiki. Of course you’ll also learn the symbols and how to work with them.

These content rich courses are 2 days in length for Levels 1 & 2 and 3 days for Master Level.

Level 1 & 2 Usui Holy Fire III
Levels 1&2 are taught back to back in a 10-16 hour class over 3 days (hours vary pending class size). The course fee of $500 includes access to digital course materials, and a paper reiki manual which will ship out with your certificate once the course is complete.
Animal Reiki Level 1 & 2
Pre-requisites: Completion of Usui or Usui Holy Fire III Levels 1 & 2
Levels 1&2 are taught back to back in a 10-16 hour class over 2 days (hours vary pending class size). The course fee of $505 includes access to digital course materials, and a paper reiki manual which will ship out with your certificate once the course is complete.
Master Level Usui Holy Fire III or Animal Reiki
Pre-requisites: Students must wait 6 months from completion of any Level 1 & 2 course from any lineage before enrolling in a Master Level class.

Master classes vary from 15-24 hours over a 3-day period (hours vary pending class size). These classes include access to digital course material, and a paper Reiki Master Level manual which will ship out with your certificate upon completion of the course.
I am a professional member of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). These classes meet the ICRT level of standards and training. Completing one of my courses makes students eligible for the affiliate membership. Course materials are published by ICRT.
